Oda Foundation Education Programs

We partner with local communities and governments to build a scalable, replicable model for improving education in Nepal’s most under-resourced regions.

Training Teachers is our priority

We believe that the best way to influence education and decrease associated poverty is through well-trained, capable, passionate teachers. The Oda Foundation has partnered with NAG to upskill our teachers and bring their new knowledge to the classroom. Watch more on the impact of the partnership!

Oda Foundation + Government

Pictured above is one of our partner schools, Shree Tila Model School. In addition to Education Programs providing tutoring and scholarships, Oda Foundation has worked for years to build relationships with local leaders, and has now partnered with the local public school system.

We are working hand in hand with local educators and officials to repair a broken education system.

Our students face severe poverty, severe lack of teacher accountability, gender discrimination, and caste-based bullying and discrimination.

With Education Manager Aryashree Aryal, we teach management, attendance tracking, lesson planning, data collection, and more to sustainably strengthen the public education system.

Oda Foundation Scholars

In Oda, it is rare that students - especially girls - finish high school, much less go to college. Oda Foundation supports students from the community in their dreams of attending college. As part of the scholarship, Scholars return to Oda and work alongside our staff for two years.

Kalasha, at right, is one of our current students. “When I was 12, I started coming to Oda Foundation school, and government school every day, and I was learning so much. I was thinking, maybe I can go to college if I learn.” Read the rest of Kalasha’s story on our blog.

“Oda Foundation is actually life-saving. It is a game-changer. It is rewarding to be here for work that is this important. Change takes a long time, but bringing the community together is the best thing we can do.” - Aryashree Aryal, Education Manager
