Sustainable Futures: Winter Update (Q4 2024)
As we step into 2025, we reflect on the impactful work accomplished in the last and final quarter of 2024.
We expanded agriculture training, served over 1,300 patients in our clinic, and offered critical long-term — and emergency — infrastructure and supply supports. From vaccinations, to door-to-door visits, to local health camps, we continued to fight for health care equity for all.
Whether you’ve been with Oda since 2003, or just learned about us, thank you for being our support: you make this incredible work possible. Read below for our favorite highlights from this quarter, and download a PDF here.

Empowering Teachers, Fostering Creativity and Improving Infrastructure
Empowering Teachers
A three-day workshop equipped educators from 16 schools with innovative teaching techniques, enhancing their ability to foster student success.
Alternative Education for Marginalized Youth
Our new Alternative Education Centre welcomed 22 students, teaching greenhouse farming, nutrition, and disaster preparedness, bridging education gaps for underprivileged families.
Fostering Creativity Through Music

Improving Hygiene and Infrastructure
Water Filters: Installed at Shree Dev School, providing clean drinking water.
Gender-Specific Washrooms: Constructed at Shree Tila Model School, enhancing hygiene and accessibility.
Sustainability and Livelihoods
Food Security Through Agroecology
Our partnership with Fastenaktion Nepal reached over 500 individuals, promoting diverse diets and sustainable kitchen gardening. These efforts enhance community nutrition and resilience.
No Plastic, Big Impact
Students from Shree Tila Model School displayed creative projects at the No Plastic Art and Craft Exhibition, encouraging sustainability and the use of local resources.
Community Resilience
In October, we celebrated the 10th Annual General Meeting, a moment of gratitude and recognition. The generosity of our land donors, who have made our hospital, birthing center, and office a reality, was honored. We also celebrated the dedication of long-serving team members like Tulki DD, who has been with us for a decade.
Tragedy struck Jubitha village when a fire destroyed the homes of 26 families. In their time of need, we provided essential relief materials, including warm fiber quilts, helping them face the cold with hope and dignity.
Your Support Fuels Change
